The ROAD:
After a few weeks of creation in a warehouse in Barcelona, 'The Road' was born as our first show concept.
'The Road' was loosely based about a life on the road and was our first attempt to merge dancefloor music with circus and aerial performance and street arts like graffiti, beatboxing and street dance.
Hustling our tent back to the UK later that year, we hit London and managed to put together a shoestring festival and park tour.
Rough and ready, and rammed together with whatever infrastructure we could lay our hands on, this was Bassline's first full scale touring production in our new legitimised form. It was a fast learning curve, and most importantly, we survived.
It was also our first try at working with a director. Emma Lloyd. She was wicked! Against the odds she beat us into some semblance presentability.
